Three performances of the acclaimed audio play coproduced by Openscreen, CAPE, Kasemattentheater and CNA
We are happy to invite you to the next live performances of our latest play Blablablastik in Kasemattentheater on 21, 22 and 23 May, starting at 20:00.
Blablablastik is the latest live audio play in the Kappkino series, written by Samuel Hamen and directed by Anne Simon. In this story, a material becomes audible: plastic. From the best-selling piece of furniture of all time—the white Monobloc chair—to the melancholic plastic bag scene in the film American Beauty, plastic is omnipresent in our world.
What happens on the plastic island of Blablablastik? Where does a journalist investigation lead us? This piece invites the audience to question reality together and dive into the universe of Blablablastik, guided by Catherine Janke and Konstantin Rommelfangen and accompanied by the gripping soundscape created by Michel Meis.
In line with Kappkino’s core concept, Blablablastik is performed in complete darkness and without visual stimuli, allowing the audience to fully focus on the auditory experience. Sounds and music produced using plastic instruments are also featured, bringing the core theme to life on another sensory level. Each person can create their own film and thoughts in their mind. To ensure an uninterrupted experience, eye masks will be provided before the performance begins, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the Blablablastik universe.
You can book your tickets via email – ticket@kasemattentheater.lu – and pay at the evening box office which opens at 19:15 before each show. More information here.
The latest Kappkino production was also recorded at the CNA, and a vinyl release is planned for the end of this year.
